Palm Beach's Best Jazz Nights This Fall

Red Velvet Lounge·

There's a particular kind of magic that happens on the rooftop of Hotel AKA West Palm when the sun goes down, the city lights come up, and a jazz ensemble begins to play.

It's the kind of night that makes you forget your phone exists. The kind that turns a Tuesday into a memory.

This fall, Red Velvet Lounge is bringing three of the most compelling voices in contemporary jazz to the rooftop — and if you've been looking for a reason to dress up and step out, this is it.

The Lineup That Has Palm Beach Talking

We don't book acts for the sake of filling a calendar. Every artist who takes our stage is chosen because they understand something essential: that music, at its best, is a conversation between the performer and the room.

This fall's lineup is that conversation at its most intimate and electric.

Nikki Kidd — Contemporary Jazz at Its Most Hypnotic

Nikki Kidd has a way of making time feel elastic. Her sets don't rush. They unfold — groove by groove, note by note — until you realize you've been holding your breath.

Her contemporary jazz style draws from a deep well: the classic Blue Note era, West Coast cool, and something entirely her own. If you've never seen Nikki live, the rooftop on a Tuesday evening is the ideal introduction.

When: Tuesday, July 28 · 6:00 PM

Joe Freer — The Voice That Stays With You

There are vocalists who perform, and then there's Joe Freer, who inhabits a song so completely that you feel like you're hearing it for the first time — even if you've known it for years.

His late-night sets at Red Velvet Lounge have become the stuff of quiet legend among Palm Beach regulars. People don't just attend Joe's shows. They return to them. Again and again, because something about the way he phrases a lyric makes the night feel like it was written just for you.

When: Tuesday, Aug. 25th · 6:00 PM

Bianca Rosarrio — The Return

If you were on the rooftop the last time Bianca Rosarrio performed, you already know what this means. If you weren't — well, this is your chance to understand what all the whispers have been about.

Bianca's voice carries the weight of every great jazz vocalist who came before her, filtered through something unmistakably contemporary and entirely her own. Her September 29th return show is already generating more anticipation than anything we've hosted this year.

This one sells out. We say that not as a marketing line, but as a practical warning.

When: Tuesday, Sept. 29 · 6:00 PM

Why the Rooftop Changes Everything

There's a reason we chose the rooftop of Hotel AKA West Palm as our home. Four floors above the city, with the Palm Beach skyline spread out below and the open sky above, the space does something to the music.

It breathes. It opens up. The sound doesn't bounce off walls — it rises.

Pair that with cocktails crafted specifically for the evening, a crowd that came dressed for the occasion, and the particular electricity of live jazz performed by artists at the top of their craft, and you have something that no streaming playlist can replicate.

What to Expect on the Night

Red Velvet Lounge is an experience, not just a venue. Here's what a typical evening looks like:

Arrive early. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the best seats — the ones closest to the stage, with the best sightlines and the most intimate connection to the music — go quickly. Give yourself time to settle in, order your first cocktail, and let the city noise fall away.

Dress the part. Smart casual to formal. This isn't a rule so much as an invitation — the rooftop has an atmosphere, and dressing for it is part of the experience.

Stay present. The shows run until 9:00 PM. Three hours of live jazz, craft cocktails, and the Palm Beach skyline. There's nowhere else you need to be.

Tickets and Reservations

Tickets for all three fall shows are available on Eventbrite. We strongly recommend securing yours in advance — particularly for Bianca Rosarrio's September 29th return, which we expect to sell out well before the night.

Walk-ins are welcome when space allows, but reservations are always preferred. If you'd like to guarantee your table, you can reserve directly through our reservations page.

The Kind of Night Palm Beach Deserves

Palm Beach has no shortage of places to spend an evening. But there are very few places where the music, the setting, the cocktails, and the company all arrive at the same level of intention.

Red Velvet Lounge was built for exactly this kind of night. And this fall, we're delivering three of them.

Nikki Kidd. Joe Freer. Bianca Rosarrio.

The rooftop is waiting.
